Welcome Back

Coming Back to Support

Whether your last support was recent or years ago, helpful or disappointing, coming back isn't starting over. You bring everything you learned, including what didn't work.

Returning is
not a setback

Needing support again doesn't mean the last round "didn't work" or that you've gone backwards. Life keeps happening, and different seasons call for different support. Many people return to therapy several times, each time for something different.

If your last experience wasn't helpful, that matters, and it's worth saying out loud. The fit with a therapist, and the type of therapy, make an enormous difference. A different approach (like EMDR or trauma-focused therapy) can feel completely different from what you tried before.

You're allowed to tell a new therapist exactly what didn't work last time. Good ones want to know.
